⟶ Chapter one · About Ojamaker

The shopthat thinksfor itself.

Ojamaker is an AI-native storefront. Two agents work inside it. One stands at the counter — answering, recommending, closing the sale. One sits in the back office — categorising, writing the page, watching the numbers, briefing you on Monday. Built for the merchant who would rather be in the workshop than on the keyboard.

Manifesto · §01

The next great shop will be driven by AI — one that runs the back office for the owner, and one that answers the customer at the counter. Two agents. Your name on the door.

— Ojamaker, 2025

⟶ §02 What AI-native actually means

Not a chatbot bolted onto a shop. A shop built around the model.

Other platforms bolt a chat bubble onto an old database. We wired two agents into the same shop. The Sales Agent talks to your customers. The Store Manager runs your back office. Catalogue, search, checkout, inventory, analytics and support are all reading from the same brain — so what one learns, the other acts on.

  • 01

A Sales Agent at the counter.

Answers product questions in your customer’s language, recommends the right size, finds the gift, checks an order, takes the next one. Trained on your catalogue. Open 24 hours.

  • 02

A Store Manager in the back office.

Categorises new uploads, writes the product page from one photo, cleans up backgrounds, drafts promo codes, surfaces what’s selling and what’s stuck, briefs you every Monday.

  • 03

    Visual search that reads pictures.

Customers upload a photo — a screenshot, a friend’s outfit, a part. The agent returns the closest match in your shop. No typing, no guesswork.

  • 04

One model, one source of truth.

No copy-paste between tools. The agents read your real catalogue, your real orders, your real customers — and write back to the same place you do.

⟶ §03 The ledger

Everything in the box. Plain language. No asterisks.

  • 01

    AI Sales Agent

Talks to your customers in their own language. Answers product questions, recommends the right thing, checks order status, closes the sale. Trained on your catalogue, not someone else’s. Open 24 hours.

  • 02

    AI Store Manager

Sits in your back office and runs the shop. Categorises new uploads, drafts product pages, cleans up images, writes promo codes, watches your numbers, briefs you on Monday morning. Type or talk to it.

  • 03

    Visual search

Customers upload a photo. The store finds the closest match in your catalogue. No typing, no guessing.

  • 04

    Photo cleanup, in your voice

Backgrounds removed, lighting evened, names and descriptions and SEO drafted from a single phone photo. Edit anything you don’t like. The agent learns the bits you do.

  • 05

    Inventory & orders, watched

Low-stock warnings before you run out. Order alerts that actually mean something. A daily summary that fits on one screen.

  • 06

    Editorial themes

Five storefront looks built like magazines, not templates. Switch with one click. Customise without touching code.

  • 07

    Local payments, world reach

Paystack, Flutterwave, bank transfer, card. Sell in naira, dollars, anything. Settle to your account.

  • 08

    Multi-vendor marketplaces

Turn one shop into a marketplace. Onboard sellers, take a cut, pay them out automatically via Stripe Connect.

  • 09

    Logistics & tracking

Hand-off to local dispatch riders or your own logistics partner. Customers track their order from confirmation to doorstep — no extra app.

  • 10

    Your own domain

Connect yourstore.com in one step. Free SSL. No reseller fees, no DNS gymnastics.

  • 11

    A team behind the screen

WhatsApp support, real humans, real time. We pick up because your business doesn’t pause.

⟶ §04 Chapters

Built in Lagos. Built for everywhere.

A small team, a long bet, and three chapters that explain where this is going.

  1. 01Nov 2025

    Day one.

A small team in Lagos shipped the first storefront. Local payments worked, the agent answered its first question, a merchant in Surulere took her first online order. We started here.

    Shipped
  2. 022026

AI takes the counter — and the back office.

The Sales Agent learns to upsell. Visual search ships. The Store Manager moves in: categorising uploads, writing pages, drafting promo codes, briefing the merchant on Monday morning. Multi-vendor opens the door for marketplaces. The agents do the work; the merchant takes the next photo.

    In progress
  3. 032027

Out of the country, into the continent.

New currencies, new payment rails, new languages. The same simple shop. The same agent at the door. Built in Lagos. Built for everywhere.

    On the horizon
⟶ §05 Principles

Four short rules. We argue about every one.

  • I.

AI should do the work, not the talking.

Every AI feature we ship has to save a real merchant a real hour. If it doesn’t, we don’t ship it.

  • II.

    Beautiful is the default.

A storefront is your shopfront. We refuse to give you ugly. Editorial typography, calm layouts, fast pages.

  • III.

    Your data is yours. Period.

We don’t sell it. We don’t rent it. We don’t train our models on your customers. If you leave, you take everything with you.

  • IV.

    No nephews required.

If a merchant has to call a relative to use the product, the product has failed. Plain language. Plain controls. Built for the workshop.

§06 · The promise

We will not ship a feature that makes your shop harder to run. We will not sell your data, or train our models on your customers. We will not let a message sit. Your shop is your livelihood — and we treat it like ours.

— The Ojamaker team · Lagos, Nigeria
